What is a cyst ?
A
Thin walled <2mm spherical parencyhymal lucent interfaced with normal lung

What is a cavity?
A
Gas filled space with consolidation, mass or nodule
Typically thick walled >2mm and more irregular than cysts

What is a bullae?
A
Spherical focal lucency > 1cm
Thin walled <1mm and usually accompanied by emphysema

What is a bleb?
A
Cystic airspace bounded by thin wall adjacent to the visceral pleura <1cm

What is a pneumatocoele?
A
Round thin walled air- filled space, typically caused by infection / trauma or aspiration of hydrocarbon fluid usually transient
