Q

Describe how radio waves are transmitted and detected

A
  1. Electrons oscillate and produce EM waves
  2. Transmitters emit the radio waves which transfer energy
  3. A receiver absorbs the EM waves and causes the electrons in the receiver to oscillate

Q

What happens to long-wave signals?

A

They diffract (bend) around the curves surface of the Earth so they can still be received
