A

1.) Black people were not allowed to go through the same entrance as white people
2.) There were separate things for white and black men, and it was quite often that the things for Black people were less well treated
3.) Black people were not allowed to show affection in public, and there was no cross love between a black person and a white person
4.) Black people sat on the back of the buses, which were labelled for “Blacks only”, and they had to give up their seat for a white person if they ran out of white seats
4.) If a white woman was walking on a pavement, the black people were expected to walk off the pavement
5.) Blacks were referred onto as ‘Boy’ or ‘Girl’, and whites were addressed as ‘Ma’am’ ‘Sir’ etc.

Q

What does ‘lynch’ mean?

A

To illegally place a black person to death, often by hanging, because they allegedly did something wrong
(note: they might have never happened, but a white person’s word was more likely to be believed compared to a black person’s word. In the end however, no white mob was ever put to justice for the acts they have done)
