2) Must be understanding that we cannot get everything- cannot “go home”
3) Elected officials are essential- get big stuff taken care of

A

1) financial problems- couldn’t bring in money in any way except ask states ex: war debt
2) foreign policy problems- US had to pay England but couldn’t so they set up forts so we could not expand
