Describe an active trigger point
An active trigger point is a trigger point that is firing and active even when it is not being pressed or touched. It fires on its own and also has a familiar or recognizable pattern of sensation.

A trigger point that doesn’t fire on it’s own and needs to be compressed to fire. May be unfamiliar to the cl when it is pressed. Latent trigger points can change into active ones
