Q

Explain two christian beliefs about justice

A

One religious teaching about justice is that in Christianity, Jesus taught thate everyone should be treated fairly and that we should aim to treat people as we would like to be treated. In the bible it says “Do to others as you would have them do to you” which promotes the idea of justice.

Another religious belief is that in Christianity the Bible teaches that God wants people to act justly and treat everyone fairly. This is because God is seen as just and Christians want to learn from his qualities. In the bible it says “And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly”

Q

Explain two religious beliefs about gender discrimination

A

In Islam, a key religious belief is that men and women are equal before Allah, so gender discrimination is wrong. The Qur’an says, “For men and women who engage much in Allah’s praise – for them has Allah prepared forgiveness,” showing they receive the same reward from God.

In Christianity, a core religious belief is the equality of all genders in God’s eyes, meaning discrimination is not supported. The Bible states, “Nor is there male or female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus,” highlighting that in their faith, gender doesn’t create inequality.

Bad one:

In Islam, gender discrimination is forbidden as men and women are equal. Allah created everyone and will judge all fairly. The Qur’an says, “For men and women who engage much in Allah’s praise – for them has Allah prepared forgiveness,” showing equal reward.

In Christianity, all genders are equal before God. The Bible says, “Nor is there male or female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus,” meaning discrimination is wrong and both are valued equally

A

One Christian teaching on justice is Jesus’ instruction to “Do to others as you would have them do to you” (Luke 6:31). This Golden Rule emphasizes treating everyone fairly and with the same respect you’d want for yourself, which is a key aspect of justice.

Another Christian teaching is that God is just, and therefore, Christians should strive to act justly in the world. The Bible shows God’s concern for fairness and equality, inspiring believers to reflect these qualities in their own actions and in society.
