QUESTIONS Flashcards
What’s your spiel at the end of the interview?
I don’t have any more questions.
Thank you both for taking the time to meet with me, it has been an absolute pleasure.
I just wanted to say that I recognise that if I am successful, it would be an amazing opportunity and something that I will grasp tightly with both hands. I can guarantee that I will commit myself 100% by being completely client-focused, learning as much as possible and working endlessly to achieve great results for the firm.
I won’t let you nor the firm down. Thank you.
Questions to ask partners…
Given the MPC will likely cut rates, do you think there will be a rebound in dealmaking?
With the reforms to the UK’s capital markets regime having taken place, my thoughts are that the focus should be on changing the culture of UK investing to drive up liquidity alongside listing reforms. Would you agree?
Questions to ask HR…
I understand that I will get a Continuity Partner as another point of mentoring throughout my scheme, but do trainees get a trainee buddy to ask sort of more procedural or admin-type questions that you wouldn’t go to partner with?
If so, is it the same buddy for the whole of the training contract?
I really value personal and professional development. I came across the legal and professional skills training that is offered to trainees, could you tell me a bit more about it and what it involves? Does it focus on legal skills or business and professional skills? Is it undertaken throughout the training contract as a string of sessions?
