• SSRIs work by binding to seratonin receptors, they stop the re absorption of seratonin, leaving more to flow across the synaptic gap and around the brain
• SNRIs work in a similar way, binding to both serotonin and noradrenaline receptors, stopping reabsorption of both serotonin and noradrenaline
