• to reduce the risk of cardiovascular death and hospitalizations for HF in patients with chronic HF.
• in pediatric patients ages 1+, it’s indicated for the treatment of symptomatic HF w/systemic left ventricular systolic dysfunction

Entresto Contradictions

Answer 2

• hypersensitivity to any component
• history of angioedema related to previous ACE or ARB.
• can’t be taken at the same time as an ACE inhibitor or w/aliskiren in patients with diabetes.

• observe any signs and symptoms of angioedema and hypotension
• monitor renal function and potassium in susceptible w/diabetes

• avoid using with aliskiren in patients w/eGFR <60
• potassium sparing diuretics
• NSAIDS- may lead to increased risk of renal impairment.
• increased risk of lithium toxicity if interacted w/lithium.
