A framework that encompasses ideas and beliefs about reality, the way in which knowledge is acquired and the way research should be carried.
Research paradigm
Combining and integrating the statistical data from a number of studies
Meta-analysis
Events, experience or attributes investigated in a study that can be perceived by the senses.
Phenomena
Beliefs about the nature of being and the characteristics of reality.
Ontology
Beliefs about the nature of knowledge and how knowledge is acquired.
Epistemiology
A research method which is similar to a true experiment but either the randomisation or control element is missing.
Quasi experiment
Identifying a study’s strength, weaknesses and limitations in an objective and balance way to determine whether it is valid and reliable or trustworthy.
