Refers to a traditional method of checking that products are good enough standard

Takes into account customer needs and employees look at every aspect of the business to improve quality of product

Small group of employees that meet regularly to look at how quality can be improved

Staff feel involved and empowered

Total quality management - all employees involved in quality control and take responsibility for quality of their work
