What does the BSI do/what are they responsible for?

A

Producing technical standards, supply certifications and test products against specifications across the UK.
Any product that is sold in the UK must be compliant with the BSI

What kind of quality marks are there under the BSI?

A
  1. Kite mark
  2. CE marking - shows that a product has met EU safety, health and environment requirements
  3. Choking hazards, toxic finishes, sharp corners for children’s toys
  4. Flammability tests on clothing
  5. Tractor - farming produce made in Britain
  6. Eggs have lion quality stamp
