A

Simultaneously:

(1) Thrust levers…..IDLE
(2) Wheel brakes…..MAXIMUM until a safe stop.
(3) Thrust reverser(s) (operating engine[s])…..MAXIMUM, consistent with directional control.

L ENG FIRE or R ENG FIRE or Severe Engine Damage (In Flight)

A

At a safe altitude, affected engine:

(1) Thrust lever…..CONFIRM and IDLE
(2) Thrust lever…..CONFIRM and SHUT OFF
(3) ENG FIRE PUSH…..CONFIRM and SELECT
(4) FUEL, BOOST PUMP…..CONFIRM and SELECT OFF

After 10 seconds L ENG FIRE or R ENG FIRE warning message persists:
(5) Affected engine BOTTLE…..SELECT

After another 30 seconds L ENG FIRE or R ENG FIRE warning message still persists:
(6) Other engine BOTTLE…..SELECT

A

Note: Attempt to face the airplane into the wind.

(1) PARKING BRAKE…..ON

Affected engine:

(2) Thrust lever…..SHUT OFF
(3) ENG FIRE PUSH…..SELECT
(4) FUEL, L and R BOOST PUMP…..SELECT OFF

If after 10 seconds L ENG FIRE or R ENG FIRE warning message persists:
(5) Both engine BOTTLE…..SELECT

Double Engine Failure

A

(1) IGNITION, CONT…..ON

If engines continue to run-down (N2 < 40%):

(2) Thrust levers (both)…..SHUT OFF
(3) ADG manual deploy handle…..PULL

When ADG power is established:

(4) STAB TRIM, CH 2…..CONFIRM ENGAGED
(5) Target airspeed…..ESTABLISH

Airplane Flight Level Target Airspeed
Above FL340 0.7 MACH
Below FL340 240 KIAS

Maintain airspeed until ready to restart engines.

Copilot: On evacuation command
(8) Air Traffic Control (ATC)…..NOTIFY of emergency conditions and intent to evacuate.

Note: If ditching, disregard step (9).

(4) Pitch/N1…..10 degrees/TOGA from SL to 15,000 ft; 5 degrees/CLB above 15,000 ft
(5) Aircraft configuration…..At clean up altitude Gear UP / FLAPS 0
(6) Airplane altitude…..MAINTAIN lowest safe alittude or higher

CAUTION: Respect stall warning/stick shaker.
