Bacterial keratitis
A
- Staph, strept, pseudomonas, moraxella.
- Pain, photophobia, blurred vision, corneal ulcers, hypopyon and posterior synechiae.

Viral keratitis
A
- HSV, VZV or adenoviruses.
A) HSV -> blepharitis or conjunctivitis in primary infection. Can affect different layers of cornea: Dendritic keratitis (epithelium), Stromal keratitis, Endothelial keratitis (can cause sec. glaucoma) or Acute retinal necrosis syndrome. Acyclovir!
B) Herpes zoster keratitis (similar to HSV).

Fungal keratitis
A
- Aspergillus or Candida.
- white stromal infiltrate, satellite lesions, hyphae in corneal stroma, and hypopyon.

Exposure keratitis
A
- Inflamm of cornea because of dryness due to incomplete closure of eyelids. Ex in facial nerve palsy, exophthalmos of Graves or after surgery.

Photokeratitis
A
- Inflamm of cornea due to intense UV light exposure (snowblindness, welders eye).
