Language Acquisition
First language learned by a per- son; native language

Language you acquire in the community (e.g. English and Tagalog); used for public communication

Process of the second language learned formally in school, or informally on our own
Language learning
Social and linguistic phenomenon by which speakers of different languages (or different dia-lects of the same language) interact with one another, leading to transfer of linguistic features.
