Easier to just not use them (use brackets instead, for example), but use EM dash if really needed.
Punctuation for odd words
We use quotation marks to emphasise the strangeness of words.
TITLES, when there is a “THE” before a title, even if there is a name
DO NOT capitalise (i.e. the vice minister Bruce Wayne)
Italicise v.s. Quotation Marks (inverted commas) when mentioning other works
BIG = italics, SMALL = quotation marks (i.e. The Economist’s “Where are the people?”)
Foreign words - not translated
