Complications of pulmonary fungal infections
Severe and life-threatening pneumonia can occur in seriously ill patients being treated with corticosteroids, anti-neoplastic and immunosuppressive drugs, and patients with HIV and cystic fibrosis
Define fungal infections
Caused by inhalation of spores; exposures common but most persons are asymptomatic or develop a mild nonspecific respiratory illness
Treatment of pulmonary fungal infections
They are not transmitted from person to person so it does not have to be placed in isolation. Antifungal medications are the mainstay of treatment

Group of lung diseases caused by inhalation mineral or metal dust particles for environmental lung diseases
