Symptoms
Signs
A
Pleuritic chest pain, cough w/wo haemoptysis, SoB, palpitations, calf pain
Dizziness, hypotension, fever.
Signs: Tachycardia, tachypnoea, hypotension, pleuritic rub, gallop rhythm, ECG S1Q3T3, calf inflammation.

Investigations
A
CTPA according with Wells score. If pregnant, VQ perfusion scan.
Bloods: FBC, UandE, CRP, clotting,
ABG
ECG

Management
A
Oxygen as required, LMWH, DOAC (apixaban), TRUST GUIDELINES.
Apixaban 3-6 months.
If all else fails, alteplase.
