Causes of puerperal sepsis

A

Uterine infections

Infections of perineum, cervix, vagina

Abdominal wound infections
Mastitis
UTI
Septic pelvic thrombophlebitis 
Respiratory - pneumonia, atelectasis
Meningitis - esp if spinal or regional anesthesia given
