integration of disease framework and illness framework

What is communitarianism?
is the act good for everyone that will be affected by the act?
What is consequentialism?
whether some action is right or wrong depends upon consequences

What is deontology?
is the act right or wrong in itself irrelevant of if it benefits me or others or other possible consequences

What is the incidence rate?
number of new cases of a disease in a population in a specific time
What is a negative predictive value?
test true negatives/true negatives (Proportion of those who test negative who actually do not have the disease)
What is a positive predictive value?
test true positives/test positives (Proportion of those who test positive who actually have the disease)
What is the prevalence rate?
number of cases of a disease present in a population at a certain point in time
What is primary prevention?
stopping a disease before it starts
What is secondary prevention?
stopping a disease from being as bad as it could be
What is sensitivity?
the test true positive / true positives so the proportion who have the disease who are correctly identified with a positive test
What is specificity?
the test true negatives / true negatives so the proportion who do not have the disease who are correctly identified by a negative test
Whats tertiary prevention?
stopping later complications from developing
