Assesses: school performance, cognitive ability, learning disorders/differences
What are some examples of Education questions?
What grade are you in? How do your current grades compare with your grades last quarter/semester/year? Have you ever been told you had a learning difference?
-Ask about favorite/worst subjects, career aspirations, what they would do if they got less than all A’s (if 4.0 student) to assess depression
What is the goal of the Activities section?
Evaluate: social interactions, internet use, interests, self-esteem
What are some examples of Activities questions?
What do you do for fun? Are you involved in school, community, religious activities?
-Also ask about eating habits, bulimia assessment, educate on exercise/diets/protective equipment
What is the goal of the Drugs section?
Assess: current habits, patterns of use, genetic/environmental risk factors
How do you determine drug/alcohol abuse disorder?
Two or more yes answers for CRAFFT:
Car (ridden in), Relax (use to relax), Alone (use alone), Forget (black out), Friends (tell you to cut down), Trouble (gotten into trouble)
