What are the 4 definitions of abnormality?
Statistical infrequency, deviation from social Norms, failure to function adequately, deviation from ideal mental health

Study of mental illness, mental distress and abnormal behaviours

A psychological or behavioural state leading to impairment of interpersonal functioning and or distress to others

Depressive disorder, anxiety disorder, ocd related disorders, feeding and eating disorders
What is an example of deviation of social norms
Being rude to customers/ rude to people in public

Not bothering to wash/ no self hygiene
Define phobias
Irrational fear of an object or situation

Specific, social anxiety and agoraphobia
