Dress nicer- Halo effect due to Stewart who found over 2 years defenedant rated as more attractive was treated more leniently, therefore encourage defendants to take more care into bappearance e.g. by wearing nice clothes.
Accent/ Language used- Dixon found more likely to builty with Brummie accne than standard englsh, encourage someone to tone down their accent and ensure they are pronunciating their words well.
