How would you describe Generalised Anxiety Disorder?

A

Often valid concerns regarding family/finance/safety, but to a disproportionate levels.

Worried about worrying.

  • “what’s your worst case scenario” (may be extreme)
  • “any physical symptoms?”
  • Screen for neuro-vegetative signs.

  • Hear things noones else hears? Auditory
  • See things you know aren’t real? Visual
  • Feel like people are watching/monitoring you? Paranoid
    • ​***do you experiance these even when you do not use alcohol or drugs?? Rule out substance abuse
  • Do you get messages from adverts/internet etc? Referential delusions
