What is the independent variable?
What is being manipulated.
A variable whose variation does not depend on that of another.

A variable whose value depends on that of another.

What is the central nervous system (CNS)?
The complex of nerve tissues that controls the activities of the body. In vertebrates it comprises the brain and spinal cord

- Involved in the control of bodily functioning through organs and glands.

What is the function of the parasympathetic nervous?
Returns body to a resting balanced state called homeostasis
What is the function of the sympathetic nervous system?
- Mobilizes the body in times of stress
- Fight or Flight
What are neurons?
The cells of the nervous system that deal with sensory information and relay electrical impulses - a process called neurotransmission
What is Action Potential?
During neurotransmission, it is the reversal in electrical charge of a neuron causing it to fire.
