This may be uncharacteristic behaviour. It is the most unstable aspect of your personality and does not necessarily reflect the psychological core.

How can a coach use the interactionist perspective to improve performance?

A

If a coach understands their players innate personalities and how they would ‘normally’ respond in specific situations, they can use this to their advantage.
For example understanding that a centre forward with an aggressive personality is likely to retaliate when fouled. The coach may therefore substitute them.
