What is transference and Countertransference?
Feelings projected between patient and doctor based on important relationships in their respective pasts
Each person brings to the table their own unconscious drives, flaws, and history. The unconscious feelings that are projected from the client to the therapist is “transference.” Counter-transference are the thoughts and feelings projected onto the client from the therapist.
