Explain ptsd in 5 bullet points
• exposure to a traumatic event that’s involves death or serious injury- to self or others
• response includes fear,helplessness, horror

Explain 2 types of trauma
Major trauma- big traumatic event
Auditory trauma- small trauma as the add up, complex ptsd

They are trying to change the brain structure, will ask them to write out and read about their trauma, rate their stress level la and repeat it 5 times

Focusing on movement, often focused on Botha sides of the body with breathing exercises
Explain factors of personality disorder
- Early onset, often starts in teens but not diagnosed till 18
- Stability, there is no time in there life where the personality disorder is not present
- It’s pervasive impacts all areas of their life
Anti social before 15 and after 15
Before 15
- often in trouble with the law
- expelled from school - often in fights
-substance abuse
After 15
- problems with work -illegal occupations - problems with relationships - neglect kids
Explain abandonment vs engulfment
Abandonment- more likely for boys and results in anti-social personality disorder.
Engulfment- more likely done to girls and results in BPD
Explain BPD
Is when someone is between neurosis and psychosis and jumps between the two.
- unstable relationships
- fear of being alone - rage - don’t have a solid sense of self
