Biological perspective
focuses on neurobiology and brain function; makes use of brain imaging (CT scan, MRI, PET scan, fMRI); also focuses on psychopathology (mental diseases) and psychotherapeutic (drugs) and neuroanatomy
Behavioral Perspective
focus on observable responses to stimuli (backlash to too much introspection)
Cognitive Perspective
backlash to behavioral; perception, memory, resaoning, thinking; relationship btwn thought and behavior
Psychoanalytic
focuses on unconcious processes
Humanist/Subjectivist Perspective
introsepction, human behavior is a function of the perceived world and the individual is important
