• Family history • Genetic • Smoking • Stress • Trauma e.g. surgical scars, injection sites (Koebner phenomenon) • Infection e.g. streptococcal – guttate psoriasis

What are the signs and symptoms of psoriasis?
A
- Erythematous circumscribed scaly silvery-white papules and plaques
- Itching
- Pain
- Pinpoint bleeding (Auspitz phenomenon)
- Affects extensor surfaces, elbows, knees, scalp
