Power to search. At designated place and on duty allowed on suspect on reasonable ground that a person over the age of 14 within the vicinity of designated place has in their Possession a weapon contrary to this act

Stop and search, allows me in designated place and on duty to search any person without the need of reasonable suspicion. This occurs with police are conducting the searches and to declare an area to be a dangerous area involving weapons

On duty and at designated place allowed to stop and search any vehicle that falls within the designated area that police are conducting searches

-If requested inform the person of their name, rank and place of duty
-Provide this information in writing if requested
-Produce ID
-Inform the person that the PSO intends to search person for weapons and empowered to do so under the Act
-Give person a search notice
