Psalm Flashcards
Blessed [is] the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,
1
Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2
LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many [are] they
that rise up against me.
3
Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast
enlarged me [when I was] in distress; have mercy upon me, and
hear my prayer.
4
Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation.
5
O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy
hot displeasure.
6
O Lord my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them
that persecute me, and deliver me:
7
O LORD our Lord, how excellent [is] thy name in all the earth!
who hast set thy glory above the heavens.
8
I will praise [thee,] O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew
forth all thy marvellous works.
9
Why standest thou afar off, O LORD? [why] hidest thou [thyself]
in times of trouble?
10
In the LORD put I my trust: How say ye to my soul, Flee [as] a
bird to your mountain?
11
Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail
from among the children of men.
12
How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt
thou hide thy face from me?
13
The fool hath said in his heart, [There is] no God. They are
corrupt, they have done abominable works, [there is] none that
doeth good.
14
LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy
holy hill?
15
Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
16
Hear the right, O LORD, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my
prayer, [that goeth] not out of feigned lips.
17
I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.
18
The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth
his handywork.
19
The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of
Jacob defend thee;
20
The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation
how greatly shall he rejoice!
21
My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? [why art thou so] far from helping me, [and from] the words of my roaring?
22
The LORD [is] my shepherd; I shall not want.
23
The earth [is] the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world,
and they that dwell therein.
24
Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.
25
Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have
trusted also in the LORD; [therefore] I shall not slide.
26
The LORD [is] my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the
LORD [is] the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
27
Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest,
[if] thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into
the pit.
28
Give unto the LORD, O ye mighty, give unto the LORD glory and
strength.
29
I will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast
not made my foes to rejoice over me.
30
In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed:
deliver me in thy righteousness.
31
Blessed [is he whose] transgression [is] forgiven, [whose] sin
[is] covered.
32
Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: [for] praise is comely for
the upright.
33
I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise [shall]
continually [be] in my mouth.
34
Plead [my cause,] O LORD, with them that strive with me: fight
against them that fight against me.
35
The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, [that
there is] no fear of God before his eyes.
36
Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious
against the workers of iniquity.
37
O LORD, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy
hot displeasure.
38
I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my
tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is
before me.
39
I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and
heard my cry.
40
Blessed [is] he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver
him in time of trouble.
41
As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul
after thee, O God.
42
Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O
deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.
43
We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us,
[what] work thou didst in their days, in the times of old.
44
My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which
I have made touching the king: my tongue [is] the pen of a ready
writer.
45
God [is] our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
46
O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice
of triumph.
47
Great [is] the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of
our God, [in] the mountain of his holiness.
48
Hear this, all [ye] people; give ear, all [ye] inhabitants of
the world:
49
The mighty God, [even] the LORD, hath spoken, and called the
earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.
50
Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness:
according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
51
Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the
goodness of God [endureth ]continually.
52
The fool hath said in his heart, [There is] no God. Corrupt are
they, and have done abominable iniquity: [there is] none that
doeth good.
53
Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength.
54
Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my
supplication.
55
Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he
fighting daily oppresseth me
56
Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul
trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my
refuge, until [these] calamities be overpast.
57
Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge
uprightly, O ye sons of men?
58
Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God: defend me from them that
rise up against me.
59
O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us, thou hast
been displeased; O turn thyself to us again.
