Relating to how we extend to the world and how the world extends to us

Q

Energy qualities in proximity

A

Evidentially quite percussive, involving a large number of finger tutting type movement (mainly through webbing)

The movement in general throughout the performance is quite connective creating a sense of intimacy between dancers

The arm movements were very angular and straight

Q

Two examples, choreographic devices and dance elements

A
  1. Particles effect - with the male dancer using the floor, with spiralling movement taking him in and out of the floor
Repetition of circles, contrast in time (slow, fast)
  2. Webbing effect - making dancers on the back screen look interconnected - movement is collapsing and suspensive and it looks as though dancers are pulling each other around and manipulating each other
