A
A molecule bound reversibly by a protein. Any molecule, including another protein.

Binding site
A
Site on the protein that is complementary to the specific ligand.

Induced fit
A
Conformational/structural change of protein when ligand binds, usually the change is to make the binding site even more complementary to the ligand, to allow tighter binding.
