Why are prophets important to Muslims

- prophets are divinely appointed as messengers of Allah.

Why is Muhammad known as ‘The seal of the prophets.’

- he was the last prophet divinely appointed by Allah.
- received the Qur’an (only book untouched by Allah

Ishma’il life and message
A
- son of ibrahim
- tested by Allah, required him to leave Hajar and Ishma’il in a place absent of life with only dates and a flask of water.
- when the water run out, Hajar ran between 2 hills 7 times to look for water, on 8 time, Ishma’il kicked the ground and a spring of water appeared.
- after Hajar died, Ibrahim visited Ishma’il and together they rebuilt the Kaaba
- started the Ishmailite tribe from which Muhammad came from.
