Responsibilities of the Officer who seized the property

A

Officer must give the Property to the appropriate Property Officer unless the Property is being:

  • Destroyed
  • returned
  • Disposed of
  • Required during questioning

Must Also complete and issue a property receipt

How to Lodge Property

A
  • Where members are required to lodge property they should after issuing a property receipt:
  • generate ‘Property Receipt’ from the QPRIME entry
  • place the property in a suitable property bag;

seek advice from the officer in charge of the property point on the most suitable method of containing or wrapping the property; and hand the property to the relevant property officer or lodge the property at a property point
