Crime Scene
Where an indictable Offence has been committed with a penalty of at least 4 yrs and the incident occurred at the scene or may contain evidence
Responsible Officer
An Officer who establishes a crime scene or assumes control of a crime scene
Routine Incident
A routine investigation into a criminal offence that is not a major incident. Routine incident is a local level with nil or limited specialized units
Serious Non-Criminal
An incident that requires a Police response which is not a result of unlawful activity
Major Incident
Investigation into a major or organised rime or of a covert nature. This involves offences:
- Serious Violence to another
- Armed Offences
- Substantial loss of property
- Systematic Offences
Premises
- building or structure, or part of
- land or water where a building or structure is
- vehicle and a caravan
- Tent or cave
Dwelling
building or structure intended or used for residential purposes
Property
Everything that is living or not living that is capable of being subject to ownership
Vehicle
Motor vehicle, ship, plane or anything used to carry people or goods from one place to another
Motor vehicle
Machine designed for driving or pushing forward. this includes motorbike’s, caravans or trailers
Relative Person
Relevant person is someone that is being questioned in regards to an indictable offence
