Projectile Motion Flashcards
What is Projectile motion?
Projectile motion is the path an object follows when its velocity is changed and is under constant effect from gravity.
What are Vertical and Horizontal Components?
The vertical component of a projectile in motion is usually gravity it acts at a constant rate throughout the projectiles travel path downwards.
The horizontal component is the component horizontal velocity (this stays the same throughout the projectiles travel path)
What changes if a projectiles motion does not begin from 0 and is thrown at an angle?
You need to figure out the initial vertical component and how long it stays in the air you can then calculate the vertical component as the projectile is moving downwards.
