What’s going on with Paris and determining XROS readiness for this program?
Paris is in pre-discover phase.
They will enter Discover phase in Nov/Dec of this year.
There are some architecture items that need to be resolved before Ok2Arch:
1) Carson has LTE whereas Brasilia doesn’t have cellular. This means XROS will need to build a cellular stack and the choices are: Use an Android stack with Hypervisor (this way the stack can run in emulation mode) OR XROS builds its own cellular stack but this would require carrier certification.
2) Teams needs to define an architecture for XROS to live with Zephyr. Brasilia has Zephyr as well.
3) Carson as 2 GPUs: 2D for tracker data, 3D for XROS for augmented calling
4) Wi-Fi and Bluetooth need to co-exist on Carson.
5) Orion Lite - where Paris and Delphi can talk to each other.

- Orion Lite update 7/14 initial update, detailed review in August

What is Augmented Calling?
It’s when an Orion device calls another person and using Stage’s camera, the receiving person can see them on the call. On the caller’s side, they see a holographic image of the person calling. Orion users can chat with non-Orion users.
