A
- Initiates the project. The must be satisfied that a business case exists to justify the project.
- Appoints the project manager
- Makes Y/N decisions regarding the project and responsible for approving the project plan.
- Provides resources for the project and responsible for the budget.
- Monitors the progress of the project from the information provided by the PM
- Provides support and senior management commitment.

Explain the role of the Project Manager
A
Responsible for the successful delivery of the project.
- Selecting, building and managing the project team.
- Monitoring and controlling the project at the agreed milestones
- Act as the main point of contact for the stakeholders involved with the project.
- Provide regular status updates to ensure effective communication
- Potentially recommending to the project sponsor that the project is terminated if it appears not to be profitable.
Skills and Attributes required:
