CONFORMITY TYPES
- What is identification?

IDENTIFICATION - Want to be a part of the group because there is something in the group that we value
INTERNALISATION - We take on the majority view as we accept it as correct
COMPLIANCE - Superficial and temporary type of conformity where we outwardly go along with the majority but privately disagree.
What is informational and normative social influence?
INFORMATIONAL - The desire to be right
NORMATIVE - The desire to be liked

Aimed to investigate whether people would obey perceived authority figures telling them to hurt an innocent civilian.
What is the AGENTIC state?
Acting as an agent to an authority figure. Not taking responsibility for actions.
What is legitimacy of authority?
We are more likely to obey people who we perceive to have authority over us. Authority is justified by the individuals position of power within a social hierarchy.
What does an AUTONOMOUS individual do?
Behaves voluntarily and is aware of the consequences of their actions.

What is minority influence ?
When the smaller groups in society come together to make a social change in society.
