A
  • training environment safe and free of hazards
  • conduct a 5 - 10 minute DYNAMIC warm up prior to resistance training
  • 1 - 3 sets of 6 - 15 reps on a variety of exercises
  • increase resistance (5% to 10%) gradually as strength improves
  • no more than 2 or 3 nonconsecutive days per week
  • always cool down with light calisthenics and static stretching
  • include upper body, lower body and midsection exercises
