Program Eval Flashcards
cost-benefit analysis
determines financial costs of operating a program as compared with the fiscal benefits of its outcome
cost-benefit ratio
generated to determine whether, and the extent to which, the costs exceed the benefits. Findings inform program decisions to eliminate or modify programs
cost-effectiveness analysis
Distinct from cost-benefit analysis: It considers the benefits that are not measured in monetary terms, such as illnesses prevented/lives saved. Does not produce cost-benefit ratio
outcome assessment
process of determining whether a program has achieved its intended goal(s). Collecting evidence thru assessment, analyzing data, then using findings to make changes in program if needed. Iterative process with continual feedback loops.
