How do you express the prognosis
Case fatality rate

How do you fine the case fatality rate?
Number of people who die from the disease (divided by) the number of people with the disease
What is a lead time
The time between he early detection of disease and the time of usual clinical diagnosis
Why does lead time bias occur?
Because of the failure to account for the lead time when calculating survival
What is the median survival time?
The time that half the population survives
