Proficiency Items✅ Flashcards
Crew Incapacitation
COM 3.80.14
Flight Attendant- Contact Have FA: Have FA tighten straps Push seat fully aft Recliner seat back Then: Request Med assistance from medically qualified pax; Check for qualified company pilot on board to replace incapacitated crew member
One Engine Inoperative-Obstacle Strategy
COM 3.10.18
In Cruise: (do not decelerate below green dot)
▶️All thrust levers - set MCT
▶️Auto thrust off
▶️Heading: set and Pull as appropriate
▶️Determine drift down Ceiling altitude (perf Crz page)
▶️ATC - Notify
Descent:
▶️Speed set green dots speed and Pull
▶️Altitude on FCU set and Pull
📌when clear of obstacles return to standard strategy
Severe Turbulence
COM 3.220.11
- Signs - On
- Auto pilot - Keep on
- A/THR (when thrust changes become excessive)- Disconnect
- Turbulence speed - Set
- For altitude: do not chase altitude, flight crews might consider descending to increase buffet margin 6. Descent - Consider
- For approach: A/THR in managed speed - Use
- For landing: Config flaps full or Flaps 3
Stall Recovery
COM 3.10.26
“Stall, I have control!” 1. Nose down pitch control – Apply 2. Bank – Wings level ▶️went out of stall: 📌 Thrust increase smoothly as needed 📌 Speed breaks – Check retracted 📌 Flight path - Recover smoothly ▶️ If in clean configuration below 20,000 feet: 📌 Flaps 1 - Select
Stall Warning at Lift Off
COM 3.10.28
“Stall, Toga 15°!”
- Thrust -TOGA
- Pitch – 15°
- Bank - Wings level
Windshear
(Takeoff)
COM 3.80.56
At take off:
If before V1:
if there are significant variations in Airspeed and trends below the indicated V1: - Reject the Takeoff
After V1: “Windshear, Toga!”
Thrust levers – TOGA
Reaching VR – Rotate
SRS orders – Follow
note: if the FD bars are not displayed, move towards an initial pitch attitude of 17.5°
Windshear
(Airborne, Initial Climb or Landing)
COM 3.80.56
“Windshear, I have control, Toga!”
- Thrust levers at TOGA – Set or confirm
- A/P if engaged – Keep on
- SRS orders – Follow
(note: if the FD bars are not displayed, move towards an initial pitch attitude of 17.5°)
- Do not change configuration (slats/flaps or gear) 5. until out of windshear
- Closely monitor flight path and speed
Recover smoothly to normal climb out of windshear
Windshear Ahead (RED)
(Takeoff)
COM 3.80.58
Takeoff: ▶️Before takeoff: delay takeoff or select a different r/w During takeoff and run: reject takeoff, (predictive windshear alerts are inhibited above 100 not until 50 feet) ▶️When Airborne: Trust levers – TOGA Auto pilot – keep on SRS orders - follow No FD bars fly 17.5 pitch att
Windshear Ahead (RED)
(Landing)
COM 3.80.58
▶️Landing: with (Aural warning windshear ahead)
Go around - Perform
AP - Keep On
Windshear Ahead (Amber)
COM 3.80.58
▶️Delay takeoff until conditions improve ▶️Evaluate takeoff conditions
▶️Select the most favorable Runway
▶️Use weather radar or predictive windshear systems before commencing take off
▶️Select TOGA thrust
▶️Monitor closely airspeed trends during take out run for signs of a windshear
