Constitutional Rights of a citizen
The right to administrative action which gives citizens the right to challenge each other regarding the way in which they are treated if they feel it is unfair
Political rights which mean they can form a political party, run for office and support any political party by voting
The right to food and water
children under 18 have special rights such as protection against abuse and exploitation
People have the right to basic education
Responsibilities of people and businesses
The responsibility to act in a manner showing respect for others rights and knowing if you do not respect these rights you can be brought to justice in a court of law.
Citizens have the responsibility to vote for the right political party.
Citizens have the responsibility to treat the country’s resources with respect.
Children have the responsibility to not abuse and exploit others.
The learner has a responsibility to go to school and to learn.
Orginisation Culture
the common perception amongst employees of a business regarding acceptable and unacceptable behaviour.
Ethical Behaviour
Management should act in an ethical manner and people who act in an ethical manner should be recruited.
Ethical in marketing
unethical practices are materialism and deception
legally binding contracts
Contractual Capacity The person is legally allowed to enter into a contract
Sound Mind the person does not suffer from any mental illnesses
reasonable
the conditions of the contract are reasonable
Legal the duties carried out as part of the contract must be legal
Possible the activities of the contract must be physically possible to achieve.
Employment contracts
i an agreement between the employer and employee where the employee undertakes certain duties an d meet certain deadlines and the employer promises to remunerate the employee for the work done.
Insurance Contract
The insurer company that carries the risk promises to protect the insured against the possibility of loss
and the insured will pay a monthly fee to the insurer.
Lease Agreement
the lessor is the owner of the goods
the lessee uses the good for an agreed upon fee.
instalment sale/ Hire purchase agreement
pay a deposit
immediately take possession of the goods
pay goods off in monthly instalments.
Rental Agreements
The tenant will pay a monthly amount agreed upon by the tenant and landlord.
Franchising
the franchisor promises to provide ongoing training and support and to allow the franchisee to use the brand
the franchisee promises to pay a once off lump sum and thereafter monthly / quarterly or yearly fee for the use of the business concept.
