Process Of Protein Synthesis Flashcards
Step 1 of Protein Synthesis
DNA in the nucleolus contains instructions to make proteins this is called DNA transcripton.
Step 2 of Protein Synthesis
The protein is synthesised On the ribosomes of the Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum.
Step 3 of Protein Synthesis
The synthesised protein is transported through the Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum.
Step 4 of Protein Synthesis
Protein molecules are pinched off at the end of the Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum into a vesicle and transported towards the Golgi Apparatus.
Step 5 of Protein Synthesis
The vesicle with the protein molecule fuses with the Golgi Apparatus.
Step 6 of Protein Synthesis
The Golgi Apparatus processed and packages protein molecules l ready for release.
Step 7 of Protein Synthesis
Processed protein molecules are pinched of in vesicles from the Golgi Apparatus abs are transported towards the plasma membrane.
Step 8 of Protein Synthesis
The vesicle containing the modified protein fuses with the plasma membrane.
Step 9 of Protein Synthesis
The protein molecule leaves the cell by exocytosis.
