ENGINE FAILURE
A
call “Engine failure”
Pilot Flying (PF)
Maintain directional control; rotate to
takeoff attitude at VR.
“Positive rate, gear up.”
Climb at V2 to V2+15.
Maintain runway extended
centerline or special E/O procedure.
200 feet AGL, the autopilot may be engaged.
NLT 400 feet ARE, call for the
appropriate roll mode, “HDG SEL”,
“LNAV”, or “TRK SEL.”
retract flaps on schedule.
VNAV Not Annunciated:
At engine-out acceleration altitude,
call “Set clean maneuvering speed.”
When flaps are retracted, call “Continuous thrust.”
when appropriate,
call for the required checklist.
Pilot Monitoring (PM)
Call “Rotate” at VR.
Call “Positive rate,” if not called by the
PF,
If not called for by PF, call “400 feet.”
VNAV Annunciated:
