Normal Takeoff
Rotate at 75kts
Climb out at 88 kts (Vy)
2700-3000 MSL set 25”MP and 2500 RPM
Slow Flight
Clearing turns at 5200 MSL or above
Power set to 15”MP and 2500 RPM
Landing gear down below 140 kts (gear down 3 green)
Maintain Altitude and Extend full flaps (below 111 kts and in white arc)
Upon reaching 70 kts add power to 17” MP
Slow Flight Recovery
Power to maximum Flaps to 25 Gear up Flaps to 10 through 75 kts Flaps to 0 through 90 kts Accelerate to cruise and reduce power
Power Off Stall
Clearing Turns Reduce power to 18” MP and 2500 RPM Landing gear down below 140 kts Flaps to full below 111 kts Establish 15”MP 90 kts decent Power to idle at selected altitude Apply back pressure to raise to nose
Power Off Stall Recovery
Lower the nose, full power wings level
Flaps to 25, start climb at Vy pitch att
Positive climb Gear up
Flaps to 10 through 75 kts
Flaps to 0 through 85 kts and climb out at 88 kts
Level off and bring power to 18”MP and 2400 RPM
Power On Stall
Clearing turns Power to 15” MP and 2500rpm Slow to 90 kts level flight Add power to 20” MP Pitch nose up and induce the stall
Power On Stall Recovery
Lower nose, full power
Accelerate to 88 kts (Vy)
Power to 18”MP and 2400rpm
Accelerated Stall
Clearing turns
Power to 15”MP and 2500rpm
Slow to 100 kts and entire 45 degree bank turn
Maintain altitude by increasing back pressure
Accelerated Stall Recovery
Release back pressure, full power, level wings
Establish Vy pitch at 88 kts
Level off and set power to 18”MP and 2400rpm
Steep Turns
Note visual reference point and set heading bug
Power to 17”MP and 2300rpm
Airspeed to 120kts
Roll into 50-60 degree bank
Add back pressure and power to maintain altitude
Lead roll out by 20 degrees
Normal Landing
Downwind 120-130 kts
Power to 20-21”MP and 2400rpm
Checklist
Midfield landing gear down below 140kts (3 green 1 in the mirror)
Abeam TDP power to 15”MP and props to full forward
Flaps to 10 slowing to and pitching for 100 kts
Base flaps to 25 and 95 kts
Final flaps to 40/full and 90 kts
Vy and Vyse (blue line)
88 kts
Vr
75 kts
Vx and Vxse
82 kts
Vlo (down)
