A

Airspeed to 88 KIAS

Mixture/Props/Throttles full forward

Flaps up

Gear up

Airspeed 88 KIAS

Identify failed engine (dead foot dead engine)

Verify failed engine with throttle back

Feather failed engine’s prop

Airspeed 88 KIAS

Climb to safe altitude to secure engine and than land

Airspeed to 88 KIAS minimum
Mixture/Props/Throttles full forward 
Flaps up
Gear up
Identify failed engine (dead foot dead engine)
Verify failed engine with throttle back
Troubleshoot as time and altitude permits
Carb heat on
Fuel pump on
Magnetos check left & right
Fuel selectors on/crossfeed 
Primer locked in
Mixture adjust

If no restart
Feather prop before RPM decreases to less than 950

A

Slow to 100 kts
Power to idle on left engine
Power to full on right engine
Bank 5 degrees towards full power engine
Increase pitch to decelerate 1 knot per second
Recover on uncontrollable yaw or any stall symptoms

VMC DEMO RECOVERY

A

Reduce power on full power engine to reduce yaw
Add power on idle engine when directional control is re-established
Maintain heading and and accelerate to 88 kts )blue line)
Complete recovery to level flight with both engines
